Internet Population Falls

As reported in February by Neilsen//NetRatings the active Internet population continues to decrease in overall numbers. Although promising growth has occurred in some countries, the majority have seen an active Internet population decrease of 426,435.

February's decrease was merely a fraction of the decrease that occurred in January, in which the population fell by 46,703 from the previous month (December 2005).

Australia, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States are front-runners when it comes to countries losing the most active Internet users.
