Little Numbers Equal Big Results

It seems as though Web sites are raking in the searches. Recent studies (WebSideStory, April, 2006) report that only 4 percent of total unique search queries account for over half of all site searches and only 2 percent of total unique queries make up more than half of e-commerce sites.

The main focus of such findings revolves around marketing awareness of organic keyword optimization as well as paid search services.

The study went on to elaborate that those searching the Web who arrive at a site are 2.7 times more likely to convert for overall site visitors. Steve Kusmer, SVP and general manager of WebSideStory’s search and content solutions division validates these findings by stating, “[Searchers], are in effect pre-qualifying themselves as being interested in specific on a site.”
