It's Not Just MySpace Anymore

It's your space too. User-generated content sites now account for five of the Top 10 fastest growing web brands out there. Surprised by that percentage? Take a look for yourself:



Last month, Disney impressed many by posting on a "clean" area to promote its blockbuster Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man's Chest. This month, National Restaurant News is touting that Chili's has entered the MySpace domain.

Why the flurry by such large consumer brands? Because companies know this is where their target audience is living and how eager they are to interact with the media they are presented with. Seems nuts not to meet them there...
